Newland supplies the equipment for the Life Phoenix Project

Newland EnTech Europe has supplied a containerized ozone generator plant for European Life Phoenix Project (Spain).

Newland, as a member of the European Life Phoenix Project, has made its supply corresponding to the oxidation and disinfection stage. The supply has consisted of a containerized unit with two ozone generators fed by oxygen from a PSA. The ozone production and disinfection process are fully automated and will allow research on advanced disinfection processes based on ozone and ultraviolet technologies.

The LIFE PHOENIX project’s main objective is to obtain reclaimed water from the secondary effluent of a treatment plant. The project anticipates the new European Directive 2020/741 aiming to meet the new requirements that it establishes, which are more severe than the current national regulations.

The project, part of the European LIFE program, is made up of an international consortium with partners such as Aqualia, Aguas de Portugal, MicroLAN, Spanish public entities such as the Almería Provincial Council, the University of Almería and the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation, as well as national partners such as CETIM and our company Newland EnTech.

With more than 40,000 kg/h of ozone installed around the world, Newland contributes to the environment protection by reducing the consumption of chemical products using clean technologies.
